the translation is : "Bienvenue chez toi" (if is sby you know very well) or
"Bienvenue à la maison" for anybodyelse

Thanks, Cathrine. I mean it in the sense of welcoming home a friend at the
airport, someone who's been gone a long while, as those returning home for
being displaced by Katrina; but also applicable if they are arriving for the
first time to a new home. Friendly, warm and casual.
