I don't understand?
Someone was pretending to be Alice?
I hope you believe me that I had no idea.
Thank you for the heads up....

Last email I have from her was on the 1st of July... Either they've moved
again or don't have phone service again...

The number she gave me back in March has been "temporarily disconnected"...

Thank you so much Darrel...
When you hear from her tell her Shirley thinks of her often and that I am
doing fine considering all of the health issues of the first of the year. In
another 2 months I will be a cancer survivor of 6 months and having blood
clots in my legs that traveled to my lungs. They did not expect this old
girl to survive the night.

alt.cajun sure is dead without Alice here.

Just returned (North Carolina, drove out at 3.5 am this morning from
Mars Hill) from honoring my uncles passing from lung cancer caused by
asbestos. This has been his work of the past decade:

We'll bury another family friend Wednesday from cancer, she found out
less than 6 months ago that it was throughout her body and died this
afternoon. One last week who had been diagnosed with stomach cancer and
given 6 weeks to live - 10 years ago, he was 91. Another last week who
was given 2 months after diagnosis of a brain tumor, he died 2 days
later...

Its hard to try and hold on to those that suffer from it. My uncle got
over a year and a half, they gave him just a few months...

One day at a time!!!

You have had a heavy load to bear over the last few months.
I hope you are taking care of yourself, healthwise?

Yep, we've all been around it or worked with it. Appears in nature
naturally and nobodies found a perfect replacement either...

Trips to Europe and around the USofA. My father-in-law did the same
thing before he died of lung cancer (smoked) and I need to incorporate
the 2 together... Both went back to the 1400's...

Built a house as a misson project in the 100+ degree heat here 2 weeks
ago. Lost the better part of 10 lbs during that. That was good...
