Discussion:
It sure has taken the Bush administration a lot longer to provide Hurricane Katrina relief than it did to start those Iraqi and Afghani occupations hasn't it?

Yeah, it didn't take him long to get going in those two countries did
it? But then again, it was rigged up so his homeboy Dick Cheney's
Halliburton would be awarded all those no-bid contracts. I wonder how
much of Cheney's "blind trust" remains in Halliburton stock. And just
how "blind" that "blind trust" is anyway. Seeing's how he is a
Republican, probably not TOO blind.

Yeah, here we are, coming up on the 1 year anniversary of Hurricane
Katrina and not even ONE house has been rebuilt due to federal money.
Say it ain't so Hugo!

Sure, they got a lot of "trailers" for those displaced victims, but
have you seen them? Lined up like cars in a busy parking lot on the
Saturday morning before Christmas! You sure can't run around those
trailers like you would want to, in your skivvies!

And they are not really trailers in the sense that most people might
think (mobile homes) but rather those kind that Mom and Pop used to
hook to the back of the car when they carried us kids on those god
awful trips to the mountains. Heck, we thought we were at the ocean,
what with all the up and down and all around!

Yeah, the victims of natural catastrophies here in the US deserve more
from our government than this dog and pony show.

Hey if you're real quiet, you might be able to hear someone from Mississippi complain about the federal government response.
