You laugh, but I worked relief at the Astrodome. The first night I worked, the very first evacuee to say anything to me walked up and asked me that same question.

I setup computers and internet telephones for our shelter at FBCE.NET and
thats what they were primarily used for. Some did use them for
disconnection of utilities and for communication with relatives, but the
majority were for financial assistance programs...
