One of my favorite LA movies even if they have Spanish actors playing Cajuns. Starring Jimmy Stewart.

Also qualifies a Science FIction because in the movie, the townspeople oppose the offshore drilling because it will hurth the shrimp catch but when the well comes in, somehow it causes the shrimp to be bigger and more numerout. Riiiight.

Probably loosely based on how the first offshore rig came to be. Look it up on www.imdb.com
