By midafternoon Wednesday, the River Center population had dropped to 4,212,
and Red Cross officials were instructed not to let any more refugees seek
shelter at the facility.

"We need to start bleeding that down until we get out of the shelter
business," Monsour said.

Thanks for the heads up, they dropped off a 50 passenger bus load in
Mamou today, supposedly on their way to Houston. Otherwise Mardi Gras
might start early this year. Got a private prison just north in Pine
Prairie, others in Basile and Kinder. Big FED one in Oakdale..

700 new students enrolled in Lafayette parish today, 200 here in Eunice,
7 in Iota. My neighbors daughter from Slidell put her 3 in today as well...

I live north of Houston. My wife is a teacher and they told her school to
get ready for 40 kids coming on Tuesday. Some LA teachers have applied for
jobs, too.

Yep, and that average $2,500/yr. pay increase you get just for crossing the
Sabine can't hurt.
