The photo looks dated Alice, we haven't needed jacket/overcoats in
awhile now, much less a hood... $20 for all you could eat tonight at the
casino in Kinder. I ate three, they seasoned the outside of the
crawfish instead of the water they were boiled in... I promised my buddy
I was with that I'll do a boil next week, if he really wants to eat good
crawfish...

KAPLAN – Cajun musician Richard LeBouef will be venturing into the
unknown in two weeks and he can’t control his excitement.
LeBouef and his band Two Step are widely known in dancehalls around the
southwest and throughout Louisiana, but now the singer/musician will be
airing his own cooking show on television.
"Richard LeBouef’s Good Time Kitchen" will air for the first time
Saturday, April 23, on KLFY-TV, Channel 10 at 11:30 a.m.
The program will feature special guests that will include other cooks,
artists, and musicians, humorists and a few surprises every now and then.
"We’re working on some big name guests but we don’t want to say anything
right now in case it doesn’t pan out," LeBoeuf recently said.
The Cajun musician describes the show as a mix of music, Cajun culture
and history, humor, special surprises and of course, cooking.
The same energy LeBouef evokes on the stage while singing is what
associates believes will translate through local television sets and
eventually grab an extended audience in the American heartland.
LeBouef and his band have recorded four albums, including their
most-recent one, "Kickin’ in Your Own Backyard," with songs like "Who
Stole My Monkey?" "The Eunice Two-Step" and "All Night Long."
The co-producers for the show are Andrew "Drew" Guinn and Richard
Crochet, both of Jennings.
One of his first guests will be "Junior" Hebert of Hebert’s Specialty
Meats in Maurice. Hebert will demonstrate the art of de-boning a chicken
then later in the show he picks up an accordion and reels off a Cajun
song as LeBouef and his wife Christie waltzed around the room.
"With the support and love of family and friends, we can’t lose,"
LeBouef said.

Jock, this is the guy we (you, me and Jan) went down to see in Kaplan,
he and his dad couldn't make it to the supper I had at the house earlier
that week...
